Your Tasks


Proposal phase:
- Technical support in the creation of offers within the Telekom department
- Perform link budget analyses (utilizing in-house tools) to determine system capacity i.e.
overall aggregated data rates
- Elaboration and development of your own payload approaches for a telecom mission
- Calculation and creation of antenna patterns in the offer phase using standardized
analysis software (e.g. Grasp, SatSoft)
- Technical consultation and negotiations with the respective antenna suppliers
- Development of own ideas in the area of intelligent antennas (multibeam missions)
Implementation phase:
- Development of analogue and digital antennas for Telecom payloads based on
customer-specification
- Carrying out and supporting all antenna reviews of the telecom payload
- Support of all subsystems related to electrical and mechanical antenna interface on board
a satellite
- Creation of all documentation in the course of a satellite project of
phase 0, A, B, C/D and phase E
Operational phase:
- Planning and execution of payload IOT (In Orbit Test) RF tests wrt. antenna pattern
measurements
- Contact person for the payload antennas during the satellite's lifetime



Your Qualifications


- Master’s degree in RF or communication engineering, or equivalent qualification
- Good understanding of all high-frequency technology and its components such as amplifiers, LNA,
waveguides, converters
- Initial experience in measuring antennas in a CATR (antenna compact range) would be an advantage
- Experience in using antenna simulation tools such as Grasp, FeKo and Sat-Soft
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Very good knowledge of the English language
- German language skills would be an advantage
